Our Mission
Healthcare spending in the United States continues to outpace inflation. The United States per capita spending is more than 2x that of many developed nations. Surely, cost reduction is an important part of healthcare activity to ensure that all Americans have access to medical care.
Productivity in Healthcare, Inc. (“Productivity”) is an application-pending 501c3 non-profit organization. Productivity was formed to introduce healthcare facilities to available third-party services that reduce business expenses, both in time and money, relative to certain vendor relationships. In so doing, client facilities will be able to enhance their financial stability and focus on core healthcare services, thereby facilitating their continued service to communities.
The reduction of suture and endo-mechanical pricing, credit card processor fees, and other vendor arrangements are achieved through expert third-party service providers with years of experience and the insight needed to navigate the obfuscations put forth by vendors seeking to maximize their profits at facilities’ and, ultimately, patients’ expense.
Our partners employ the same, straightforward methodology to realize savings. The steps are:
- Examine: analyze data, client needs, and contracts
- Expose: identify overcharges, better contracts, and/or unnecessary services
- Execute: implement improvements and monitor their performance
In closing, Productivity acknowledges that our contributions to a cost-effective healthcare sector will be modest. Still, Productivity plans to be a small, but valuable piece of the solution.
On behalf of my colleagues, we look forward to being of service.
